Kent wedding venue – Etchinghill Golf Club wedding

When we met Jack and Hannah last year to discuss their wedding plans they were planning to hold their wedding at Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone followed by a reception on a river boat. However plans changed once started drawing up their wedding guest list and realised that it would be more than cozy on the boat if they were to fit all their guests in!  After searching a selection of the many Kent wedding venues they decided to hold their special day at Etchinghill Golf Club.

As their special day drew nearer the excitement grew.  After a mixed bag of weather the weekend before our prayers were answered by the weather Gods and Jack and Hannah were blessed with perfect weather conditions on their wedding day.

Hannah and her bridal party got ready in Herne Bay – so a nice local start to the day for us!  With the final preparations captured we took a few shots of Hannah in all her glory departing for the wedding venue in her Dad’s suitably decorated Morris Minor and headed off to meet Jack at Etchinghill Golf Club.

Jack and Hannah are huge fans of a Game of Thrones so it was no surprise that this had been incorporated into their wedding theme.  As can been seen from the selection of wedding images below their cake sported Daenerys Targaryen & Khal Drogo as their cake topper, tables were named after various places from the programme such as Winterfell and Casterley Rock all shown on a Game of Thrones map themed table plan.

After we had taken the selection of family groups that we had planned with Jack and Hannah at our pre-wedding meeting we headed off in a golf buggy to get some special wedding portraits of the couple.  We then headed back to capture the laughter and emotions of the wedding speeches.

Here is a small selection of the images captured at their wedding at Etchinghill Golf Club near Folkestone.

Wedding at Salmestone Grange, Margate

Our first wedding of the season was Nick and Jodie’s at Salmestone Grange, near Margate.  It was the first time we had, had the opportunity to work at this beautiful Kent wedding venue.

We arrived at the venue to capture Jodie getting ready for her special day. The room was full of excitement, anticipation and a little bit of chaos 🙂

Being March the weather gods gave us the full mix of weather to contend with, but although a little chilly and damp we managed to get the agreed selection of family groups done as quickly as possible so the guests could return to the warmth of the reception room.

Often it’s the little details which have special meanings for a couple which help to make their day unique.  At our pre-wedding meeting Nick explained that he was a big Lego fan and this would be incorporated into their wedding day.   We were touched to see that we had also been portrayed as Lego cake toppers!  Nick is also a superman fan as can be seen by his weddings ring.

Weddings are usually a mix of all generations and this one had a large number of the younger generation in attendance.  Nick and Jodie booked Joey The Clown to ensure that they were suitably entertained.  I think Joey was probably one of the youngest clowns we have ever met, but he did a fantastic job of keeping guests young and old amused.

We are so pleased with our wedding photos. Our guests have commented on how professional they are, one even said it’s the best she’s ever seen! Very professional service throughout the whole day! Many thanks, Jodie and Nick 🙂
