Lympne Castle wedding venue

A couple of months ago we had the pleasure of returning one of our favourite Kent wedding venue Lympne Castle.

When we met Hannah & Steve at end of last year to discuss their wedding plans they explained why Kent wedding venue, Lympne Castle, was perfect for them.  They simply adore castles and anything heritage related so when they went to view Lympne Castle they loved the atmosphere at the castle fell in love with it.  They were especially keen for us to capture some aerial footage of the castle and guests using our UAV (drone).

We arrived at the cottages at Lympne where both Hannah and Steve were getting ready.  Hannah was extremely calm and enjoying the preparations with her bridesmaids.   Instead of a traditional white dress, Hannah had chosen a beautiful dark red dress which perfectly complimented her colouring – I am sure you will agree she looked stunning.

After helping capture some of the bridal preparation images Nicola went to find Steve and his groomsmen.  His best men were doing their best to calm Steve’s nerves, but whilst waiting for Hannah to make her entrance with her father his nerves’ were tangible.

During the ceremony, Hannah’s mother did a beautiful reading which brought a tear to many an eye in the room.  How proud both parents were of their daughter was clearly evident.

The room for the wedding breakfast looked stunning with candelabras and deep red table dressings.  The couple had also chosen a wedding menu away from the norm – an Indian feast.  The team a Lympne was very excited to be offering such a different menu for the first time.  We can confirm that the food was delicious!

After the breakfast and speeches guests enjoyed croquet and giant Jenga in the grounds while we spent time with Hannah and Steve taking their wedding portraits.

The final part of the day for us was the first dance.  The couple had planned a choreographed first dance to Nothing Else Matters by Metallica which went smoothly, although we got the feeling Steve was extremely relieved when it was over!

Here’s a flavour of Hannah and Steve’s castle wedding.
